The opportunity:

Are you looking to accelerate your career growth by joining an early-stage company going after a massive market opportunity?

Visor is a fast-growing company simplifying how people work together. Our vision is to become everyone’s favorite place to collaborate on data from anywhere. Visor’s product looks like a spreadsheet so everyone knows how to use it. But it’s the world’s most deeply connected spreadsheet, making entirely new solutions possible.

The company was founded at Harvard. We’re backed by the same investors as Airbnb, Shopify, Zapier, Hubspot, and Warby Parker. We have thousands of users worldwide.

The role:

We are looking for an analytical marketer to join our New York-based team and own our user acquisition marketing efforts. This role will involve about 50% hands-on implementation work, 30% team leadership & management responsibilities, and 20% strategy work. Our sales & marketing strategy focuses on principles of product-led growth, self-service onboarding, and low-touch. That means our marketing needs are primarily about user acquisition.

We believe that marketing is equal parts technical as it is creative. That’s why we’re looking for a marketer who is analytical and understands the technical side of the role. We will have a senior software engineer on the team dedicated to working on growth and marketing projects.

Within three months, you’ll be organizing our campaigns to acquire users via SEO and SEM. That includes organizing the list of use cases and customers we’re targeting, running keyword research to understand how they find solutions, developing content for our website & blog to rank for SEO, and managing our PPC SEM campaigns.

Within 12 months, you’ll be managing our entire customer ecosystem, including the blog, knowledge base, video tutorials, customer community, and main website. You’ll be leading a small team of marketers (content marketing, digital marketing, and product marketing) to increase our scale of user acquisition.

Who you are:

  • Bachelors required
  • 3+ years of experience working as a Senior Manager, Associate Director, Director, or VP/EVP in Marketing at an early-stage company
  • Able to work on strategy and also implementation of SEO campaigns
  • Above-average familiarity with SEM, including ability to manage campaigns end-to-end (keyword research, bulk campaign management via spreadsheets & CSVs, and regular refinement)
  • Strong analytics skills — especially with using spreadsheets for analysis and reporting
  • World-class writer — able to write compelling blog posts, emails, and social media content
  • No-BS collaborator — bias towards action, not talk of action
  • Detail-oriented. To prove it, please include a sentence in your cover letter referencing this line and include this word: meticulous.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Organizing use case-based campaigns for Visor’s horizontal B2B solution
  • Launching and owning our content blog for SEO
  • Managing and iterating on our SEM campaigns, including running keyword research, creating ad copy, and establishing optimized landing pages
  • Writing the copy for our marketing materials, including our website, landing pages, and in-product marketing
  • Develop customer advocacy resources to help our customers sell Visor internally (e.g. slides, videos, 1-pagers)
  • Identify and monitor our marketing KPIs
  • Optimize the customer journey by working with the product workstream
  • Make decisions based on data by consistently defining, measuring, and reporting on each campaign

What we offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • Generous equity
  • Health, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • Unlimited vacation days (with mandatory two weeks)
  • Generous budget for purchasing equipment to work from home
  • Semi-flexible work hours
  • Opportunity to work from home (and office, when we reestablish one)
  • Be a charter member of the founding team of a venture-backed company

Our culture:

We are passionate product builders who believe that today’s problems require a fresh perspective. We love our users and are deeply inspired by them. Our team culture values entrepreneurship, positivity, integrity, and continuous learning. We deeply care for one another and believe that the strength of the individual powers the strength of the group.

Our company mission is to improve the way the world works. That means we want to improve how our customers do their work, and we also want to have a positive impact on the broader community. We are committed to leaving the world a better place than we found it. We seek to build a team that wants to give back to our communities.
