Visor is the world’s most connected spreadsheet. Our product looks like a spreadsheet, but it syncs both directions with other data sources. It’s designed for people of all skill levels. There are no other products on the market that make it this easy to work in a spreadsheet with data from CRMs, project management software, and more. Our vision is to become the default place where people work together with information from everywhere.
In the last year, we ran an incredibly successful public product preview. Our innovative product earned praise from hundreds of users, and received substantial backing from world class investors. Now, we are rapidly expanding our team to pursue the massive opportunity in front of us.
The company was founded at Harvard. We have raised $5.0 million, and we’re backed by the same investors as Airbnb, Shopify, Zapier, Hubspot, and Warby Parker. Users from Blackstone, Amazon, Doordash, and dozens more have given Visor hearty acclaim.
Your role on our team will include substantial equity. You will be asked to think and act like a founder, and you will be treated as an owner.
We are passionate product builders who believe that today’s problems require a fresh perspective. We love our users and are deeply inspired by them. Our team culture values entrepreneurship, positivity, integrity, and continuous learning. We deeply care for one another and believe that the strength of the individual powers the strength of the group.
Our company mission is to improve the way the world works. That means we want to improve how our customers do their work, and we also want to have a positive impact on the broader community. We are committed to leaving the world a better place than we found it. We seek to build a team that wants to give back to our communities.
Visor is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to a diverse workforce. We will consider all qualified candidates regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, marital status, personal appearance, sexual orientation, gender identity, family responsibilities, disability, education, political affiliation or veteran status.
You will own our marketing and community projects. This is a hands-on role on an early-stage team. There’s a massive opportunity to set up systems and processes right from the start. You’ll enjoy this role if you have the ability to form strategies and also really enjoy rolling up your sleeves to do the work.
Our product is a self-service, product-led growth offering. That means marketing is our primary means of acquiring users. We currently make extensive use of search ads to acquire new users and explore user journeys. Your goal will be to continue that strategy of using paid advertising to test demand and then build organic acquisition strategies based on those learnings. That will involve a comprehensive content marketing strategy as well as a partner marketing strategy.
Community is also an important pillar of our strategy. That means engaging actively with our users and creating a sense of community among them to solve problems and grow together. You’ll be responsible for managing our community initiatives, including engaging with the broader community on social media and forming virtual communities online.
You’ll be expected to have above-average technical skills in order to understand our product, speak the language of our users, and execute on our vision of a technology-enabled marketing strategy. We already have an engineering team member dedicated entirely to support marketing and growth.
You’ll begin by taking over our Google Ads account and establishing other paid advertising channels to start. You’ll also assume ownership of the company’s social media and community engagement strategy. Within a month, you’ll begin implementing plans to establish organic acquisition channels. That will involve building out content on our own properties as well as finding partnerships for sponsorship and guest posting.
By month three, you’ll have taken on product marketing and overall brand marketing. You’ll also have taken on our email marketing strategy. At month six, we’ll expand the marketing team to include dedicated product marketing and content marketing resources, which will report to you. Nine months in, you’ll be expanding Visor into more target verticals based on the additional integrations.
We already acquired thousands of users using our current efforts, and we are looking forward to you helping us build on what we already learned. You will help us achieve our ambitious near-term growth plans while also setting up a long-term system we can scale together.
